Effects of the quark anomalous magnetic moment in the chiral symmetry restoration: magnetic catalysis and inverse magnetic catalysis

چکیده
Abstract In this work, we consider the effect of a constant anomalous magnetic moment (AMM) quarks in SU(2) Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model mean field approximation. To end, use Schwinger ansatz , which represents linear term Lagrangian. A regularization method inspired vacuum (VMR) is adopted to avoid ultraviolet divergences. Our results indicate smooth decrease pseudocritical temperature and quark condensates for fields $$B \le 0.1$$ B ≤ 0.1 GeV $$^2$$ 2 when sizable AMM considered. We found only small window Inverse Magnetic Catalysis (IMC), contradiction with NJL predictions made literature. For low value AMM, observe all ranges considered that increases field, indicating (MC). our approach, nonvanishing chiral symmetry restoration happens always as crossover never turns into first order phase transition.

Boundary Effects in the Magnetic Catalysis of Chiral Symmetry Breaking
The catalysis of chiral symmetry breaking by an applied constant and uniform magnetic field in the four-dimensional Nambu-Jona Lasinio model is investigated in the presence of boundaries along the third axis. It is shown that in the case of periodic boundary conditions for fermions, the magnetic field breaks the chiral symmetry, generating a dynamical mass even at the weakest attractive interac...
متن کاملMagnetic Catalysis of Chiral Symmetry Breaking and the Pauli Problem
The non-perturbative Schwinger-Dyson equation is used to show that chiral symmetry is dynamically broken in QED at weak gauge couplings when an external uniform magnetic field is present. A complete analysis of this phenomenon may shed light on the Pauli problem, namely, why α = 1/137. Let me begin with a joke which some of you may have heard before. One of Wolfgang Pauli's lifelong dreams was ...
متن کاملUniversality and the magnetic catalysis of chiral symmetry breaking
Field theoretical models in external electromagnetic fields are of great interest and have attracted a lot of attention [1–4]. They are relevant to the study of many physical systems whose properties depend on the effects produced by external fields, especially when such effects are non-perturbative in nature. A particular example of such a situation is the so-called magnetic catalysis of chira...
متن کاملMagnetic Catalysis of Chiral Symmetry Breaking in Gauge Theories
Non-perturbative effect of the formation of a chiral symmetry breaking condensate ¯ ψψ and of a dynamically generated fermion mass in QED in the presence of an external magnetic field is considered. The dynamical mass of a fermion (energy gap in the fermion spectrum) is shown to depend essentially nonanalytically on the renormalized coupling constant α in a strong magnetic field. Possible appli...
متن کاملThe Quark Color Magnetic Moment
The quark color magnetic moment is examined in the framework of the interaction of a quark with a constant external color magnetic field. Quark and gluon propagators in the external field are evaluated and shown to lead to a g-Ii 3a s r&5E a field dependent anomalous magnetic moment u = 2mc 4T m2 where B is the external field strength. Comparison is made with the behavior of the electron anomal...
